Take advantage of our booking service if you have not exchanged contracts on your property and a completion date is imminent.

It is unwise to wait for arranging quotations for removal services until the final date is known as the shortness of time will restrict your choice of remover as many removal companies will be fully booked.

In the past the completion date was usually set 28 days following the exchange of contracts. Today it is often down to 7 days – sometimes less. This makes it very difficult for you to book resources with removers, who may be fully booked by that stage.

The professionals’ recommendation is to seek your removal quotations as soon as you have accepted an offer to give you plenty of time to consider your options. You can listen to our advice about timings, learn about discounts for quieter days and those busy dates to try and avoid. You can consider professional packing services available and can arrange for boxes to be delivered to help you sort out and pack up lofts, garages and store cupboards now.

Where you wish to ensure Leatherbarrows removal resources are available for your move day, yet are not fully confident of the date of your completion day, you can make a provisional booking reservation.

To reserve Leatherbarrows Removal Resources:

Pay £450 deposit for each day that the move is scheduled for.

This ensures your removal resources with Leatherbarrow Removals are booked for your possible move date, giving you peace of mind for up to one working week before your removal date with the option to defer or cancel without cancellation charges. Ultimately if your move takes place on the booked days the provisional booking fee is your deposit for your move.

Please note: If this is changed at or before 5 working days notice a charge of £45 booking fee with be made for each day booked, at 4 working days notice, retention of 50% of your provisional booking fee applies. On or less than 3 working days before the move is due to start and then the whole deposit is forfeit and the dates released for other bookings.

Finally, may we recommend our hold over services which takes away the hassle and rush on moving day by delaying your unloading until the day after your completion day. This gives you time to allow for delays over keys and time to give the property a thorough clean or decoration.
