During your Video Survey, we will need to see all of the items that you will be moving.
Here are a few simple things that you can do, prior to your scheduled appointment that will help us to conduct the Video Survey as efficiently as possible:
• Ensure your mobile phone or tablet has plenty of charge.
• Ensure the rotate setting is on so if you turn the phone on its side so it self levels (we find it hard to look around your home sideways!)
• Ensure you are connected to your WiFi and where possible make sure no other devices are on the WiFi at the same time. If you don’t have WiFi you will need 4G on your phone network.
• Be prepared to open up all wardrobes, cupboards, cabinets etc, especially in the kitchen.
• Turn on all the lights in advance (including garages and outhouses/sheds).
• Have ladder access and lights/torch for the loft already in place so you can show us the contents of the loft and don’t forget under-the-stairs torch if no light.
• Make sure garages and sheds are unlocked and ready to be entered and if possible sorted/tidied enough so you can walk to the back of them to be able to show us all items.
• Should the signal drop out or be lost, don’t worry, move back into range of the WiFi which should pick it back up – but if necessary we’ll restart the connection by ringing you back.
