Removals and Storage insurance

To enable us to offer you insurance cover for your goods in transit and storage, Leatherbarrows are authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority. Our surveyors are trained to discuss your insurance needs and offer solutions to provide Insurance Cover for moves within the UK and Europe, storage as well as Marine transportation risks.

Guide to insurance goods in transit (in vehicles) and in store
If you pay our charges, including the insurance premium shown on our invoices, then while your HOUSEHOLD GOODS and PERSONAL EFFECTS are in our care, for the purposes of removal and/or storage, they will be insured against ALL RISKS. This will include the risk of fire when in store providing you have declared a value which has been confirmed by us and you have paid the Fire Insurance Premium. The insurance is on a REPLACEMENT AS NEW BASIS, subject to the Conditions and Exceptions shown on the Key Facts document, for the amount of their FULL VALUE (in like condition and similar age) as declared by you to us on the Acceptance of our Estimate. If you do not declare a value, we will only arrange cover on your goods for up to £5,000. An additional premium may be required if you declare a high value.
